Abu Masab al-Zarqawi.
When the Iraqi Prime Minister announced that al-Zarqawi had been killed, those in the room cheered. Which is something I don't usually condone, but I'll make an exception in this case. Simply put, he was a murderer. He wasn't a freedom fighter, he doesn't have a cause exactly, he has killed too many innocent Iraqi's for reasons that arn't entirely clear for me to care. It won't stop the killing in the short term, but in the long term a smart, chrismatic, warrior and recruiter for the Jihadist cause is now dead and that will help Iraq along the road to democracy and peace.
