Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Yeah, the Conservatives we're going to be so different, so ethical, so much better, "You want to be in my Cabinet, you better get elected". I can't believe, for someone so smart(I keep hearing this!?!), he would let the optics of this happen. It looks sleazy, petty, arrogant and well, Liberal. Welcome to the PMO, Mr. Harper--Same Old, Same Old.

Satirical Cartoons.

This is an important freedom of expression issue, how, in a pluristic secular society, with seperation of church and state, people are allowed to satirize and wimps like CNN and the CBC have caved in to some extremists. The irony that a national magazine has Kanye West as Jesus on its cover, which I'm sure has offended some Christians, and we don't hear a peep from them because they understand that occasionally things that bother you pop up in the media and you learn to turn off the TV or computer, cancel your subscription or organize a boycott. I support all the newspapers around the world that showed their readers what exactly all the fuss was about.

Mid-east Elections.

I wasn't all that surprised that palastinians voted overwhelming for Hamas. For the first time in a generation they actually had a choice. We, especially in Canada, should understand strategic voting. I feel they didn't vote for Hamas but against the corrupt Fatah party. I also think that members of the United Nations should continue to support the new Palastinian Authority on the humantarian issues and engage with great intensity on how exactly modern nation-states treat their citizens and their neighbours.
