Air India Inquiry.
It's not surprising just how incompetent (yet again) the RCMP and CSIS were in the lead up to the bombing of Flight 182 on June 23, 1985. Sadly, I don't think there's a "conspiracy" to cover-up what went on before and after 329 people, most canadian citizens, were murdered, but racist indifference. I recall when this terrorist attack happened a general perception was that it was "An Indian Problem". The public inquiry into this bungled investigation will hopefully fix some of the myriad of problems with the RCMP and CSIS.

CBC Newsworld revealed that Air India made the decision to leave the runway and fly due to the expensive per minute fee to wait for security inspection. So instead of ensuring that all the luggage was safe, Air India decided to fly on without the completion of the security check.
This means that CSIS, the RCMP are not responsible for what happened but Air India should take the blame, especially since they were the ones to notify the RCMP that they had threats to blow up one of their flights.
Yes, there was confusion and a mess at the spy agency and the government and our national police but then - thats the way it has been for decades. Maybe now Canadians will pay more attention to these organizations especially after the RCMP pension fiasco. Don't get me started on criminal-police and the questionable things they do.
