Salary Caps.

It just occurred to me that if some professional athletes have to work under a salary cap system why can't the Machinery of Capitalism? The owners say that the salary cap system is put in place to protect the long term viability of the League. Can't the same be said for our banking system, for example. Lets focus more on sustainable Growth not so much on short term Profits. Its perfectly alright to be a little socialist, c'mon admit it--it helps you sleep at night.
